InBev Sustainability Report Launched
The world's largest brewer launched its second sustainability report with the help of Sd3 in September 2006
InBev, the world's largest brewer by volume, launched its second Global Citizenship report in September 2006. Helped again by Sd3, the report
continues to detail InBev's sustainability. As might be expected in a report by a major brewer, progress on responsible consumption and product
safety is to the fore. Perhaps more surprising are InBev's successes in driving down its environmental impacts by making beer more efficiently.
For instance since 2003, InBev has reduced its energy use per hectolitre of product by over 12% and reduced greenhouse gases per hectolitre by
14% over the same period. For the 2006 Report, Sd3 particularly helped to improve reporting on In Bev's employee profile and gather detail on
InBev's labour relations.
The report is available on-line at
inbev.com/citizenship. InBev is making the most of the interactivity offered by the
internet to poll report readers on their attitudes to sustainability and its communications. For those stakeholders who prefer hard copy reports
a print version will follow shortly, as will a Citizenship Report by AmBev, InBev's Brazil-based subsidiary.
