Your Vision

...is what your organisation would look like if it were sustainable. You have an understanding of the challenge of sustainability and want to do something about it, but what does it mean for your organisation? A useful starting point is to consider what your organisation would look like if it operated in a sustainable way.

To do this, begin by identifying your key impacts, on the environment, in society and how you contribute to economies. Consider how the impacts play out at a local, national and potentially global level.

What would you have to do to cancel out all the negative impacts and how can you maximise the positive ones? In developing your vision, key organisational challenges and the direction that needs to be taken to effect positive change will emerge. To underpin your path to a more sustainable future, the next step is to develop Guiding Principles.
